Interactive Kiosk
Working in concert with the staff of the Children's Museum of Manhattan
and two immunologists Unified Field, Inc. designed and developed an action-packed
interactive game, called "Body Battles".
Designed to teach children how the immune system works, Body Battles encourages
children (and their parents), to expand their thinking and actively participate
in taking care of their health. It is a fun and educational journey through
the human body, with just the right dose of "grossology".
The interactive software was installed in three (3) kiosks in the Children's
Museum's 4,000-square-foot exhibit entitled "Body Odyssey. It has been
one of the museum's most popular attractions, and has been successfully
engaging and teaching children at the museum for about 31/2 years, as part
of the exhibit. It was so successful that it remained even after the rest
of the exhibit was uninstalled, and is now traveling with the exhibit. The
software has since traveled to many other museums around the country and
been used by Merck, who funded the exhibit, in its outreach and promotion
efforts.
The software has been recognized it on a national level. It has won much
industry recognition and several awards, including the New York Festivals
Interactive Competition in the Museum category, and the Invision awards
for New Media.
