Dancing for Love

California Academy of Sciences
Color of Life

As visitors dance, their moves transform them into mating of spiders and birds, using gesture recognition.

Share

The Color of Love interactive at the California Academy of science employs gesture technology to track players’ body movements, metamorphosing them into a 3d bird of paradise or peacock spider. As they dance to mimic the mating moves of the animal, the player’s own image transforms, piece by piece into the dancing creature. Players who best match their animal’s movements lose their human shape and fully transform into the animal to win their mate.
